How to choose the correct awning fabric size?

DON'Ts

1. DO NOT use your caravan size as a reference when selecting awning fabric size. Different size awnings can be fitted on identical size caravans
2. DO NOT use awning size as fabric size. In general, fabric size is approximately 10" (5" on each side) shorter than the awning size. This is the space allowance for the awning structure, anti-flap bars, and guide ropes to secure the awning.
3. DO NOT guess/assume. If any uncertainty, contact us via message/email or call us directly during business hours (Mon-Fri 10am-4:30pm except public holidays).

KNOWN DAMAGE BY FOLD & BOXED PACKING ISSUE:

Boxed packaging involves folding vinyl fabric and placing it into a carton box. Due to the nature of vinyl, there is a 3-5% chance that sharp folds may cause minor cracks or small pinholes, despite our efforts to pad the folds to minimize impact during transit. This issue is recognized and anticipated and therefore falls outside the scope of our warranty policy.

To mitigate any risk of damage, we recommend choosing ROLLED packaging as an alternative.

This issue is not indicative of product quality, but rather the packaging method. It is common with awning fabrics across all brands, but not specific to ours.

This issue can be avoided if the fabric is rolled instead of folded. However, rolled packaging increases both packaging and postage costs.

Please note that not all sizes are available in rolled packaging. As boxed packaging is known to potentially cause these issues, it is important to consider this risk when opting for boxed awning fabrics, as this particular issue is not covered under warranty.

INSTALLATION REMINDER & WARNING:

Do not install awning fabric on rough floor eg concrete floor to avoid getting damaged via shifting/dragging the fabric over the abrasive surface. This could cause serious damage to the awning fabric when shifting fabric over it. Lay a tarp on the floor to prevent the awning fabric from rubbing on abrasive if you have to do the installation on abrasive flooring (eg concrete).  

CLIMATE CONDITION WARNING:

Caravan awning shall be retracted on strong windy days. Awning fabric flapping under wind could damage the fabric causing premature ageing. Please note that damages resulting from extreme weather conditions are not under warranty cover.
